Elementary Teams headed to Texas

Leadership teams from King Murphy and Carlson are headed to Texas this week for a Transcend #RuralStrong gathering. At the gathering, teams will continue to learn and plan together, as they reimagine teaching & learning for students. Sharing ideas and strategies with school districts across the country is a key part of this work, as both schools move to an experiential learning model. It’s an honor to have our two elementary schools engaged in the Transcend cohort!

Gratitude to Clear Creek Partners

Clear Creek Metropolitan Recreation District, Mountain Youth Network, and CCSD Board President Sandi Schuessler joined Superintendent Quanbeck for a presentation at the Colorado Association of School Boards Winter Conference in Denver. Our presentation highlighted the importance of co-creating learning experiences for students through strong local partnerships. It was a fantastic reminder of how fortunate we are in Clear Creek: it’s a dedicated, passionate community that cares deeply about student success.

Follow the Super on Instagram

Taking a risk! Supertinedent Quanbeck is relatively new to Instagram, and thought it might be a fun way to share superintendent insights with the CCSD community. Thank you in advance for giving grace as we learn! https://instagram.com/quanbeckkaren?r=nametag

Upcoming Board of Education Meeting

The next CCSD Board of Education meeting will be held on March 10, 11:30am. The agenda will be posted on the CCSD Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/CCSDRE1/, as well as on the CCSD Board of Education website

CDC Updated Guidance

Recently the CDC updated guidance regarding masking. “Effective February 25, 2022, CDC is exercising its enforcement discretion to not require that people wear masks on buses or vans operated by public or private school systems, including early care and education/child care programs. CDC is making this change to align with updated guidance that no longer recommends universal indoor mask wearing in K-12 and early education settings in areas with a low or medium COVID-19 Community Level."

Currently, Clear Creek's community level is low (as is Platte Canyon and Gilpin) according to the CDC.

Those who wish to continue to mask will be supported and encouraged to do so in schools and on buses.
