Dear Carlson Cougar Families, 

 

Thank you for a wonderful school year! This morning at whole-school crew, we watched a video of our year together. Our students made incredible growth this year, and they had a fun doing it. We couldn’t have done it without you. I am grateful for your ongoing partnership and support. Families are an essential part of our crew. 

 

As we head into summer vacation, I want to share next year’s family calendar with you. If you still need to register for next year, please do. I look forward to seeing you in August!

 

Next year you will see a few changes in Carlson’s staff. We are saying goodbye to Mrs. Scher, Ms. Harkness, and Ms. Pierce. Each of them brought unique and wonderful gifts to Carlson, and I enjoyed working and learning alongside them. They will be missed. Please join me in wishing them bright new adventures.

 

We have hired incredible teachers to join our crew next year. Brittany Allgair will be our new third grade teacher. She’s moving here from Illinois and brings a love of nature and national parks. Alexis Johnson will be our new second grade teacher. She’s an Evergreen local and brings a wealth of creative energy. Amy Wilson will be our new special education teacher. She’s moving here from Utah and brings a variety of experience that will support students. Change can be hard, but if I compare this to an NFL draft pick, we just added three, first-round picks.
